Join Bob Dylan Center Director Steven Jenkins for an online discussion with Terri Thal about her recently published memoir “My Greenwich Village: Dave, Bob and Me,” in which the pioneering artist manager — of Dylan, Dave Van Ronk (also her husband) and The Holy Modal Rounders — recounts the freewheeling days of the early ‘60s folk music scene. From booking gigs at coffee houses for the Roche sisters and palling around with Phil Ochs, Tom Paxton and Suze Rotolo to making the first known live recording of Dylan performing a set of original songs, Thal was a mainstay of the Village and has remained passionately committed to folk music and social justice.
Zoom in for this virtual chat as Thal shares stories and fields questions from Jenkins and attendees.
The book, “My Greenwich Village: Dave, Bob and Me,” is available for purchase from the Bob Dylan Center’s online store here.
