Join American Song Archives Creative Services Manager Zac Fowler and inaugural Bob Dylan Center Songwriter Fellowship recipients Tega Ethan and Taylor Zickefoose for an exploration of the craft of songwriting and the debut performances of the fellows’ latest tunes. This intimate event will trace the creative process of composing music, from the first spark of inspiration to the fine-tuning of lyrics and melody. Ethan and Zickefoose will share their personal journeys in their chosen artform and delve into the storytelling and self-discovery that drives their powerful music.
Following the conversation and performances, audience members are invited to engage in a Q&A with Zickefoose (Ethan’s segment will be recorded from his home base in Nigeria) about her experiences, techniques and influences, sharing insights that are sure to inspire music fans and aspiring songwriters.
